The world of comedy is where I go when I need to relax.
It's a place where I find respite, especially in the storytelling told by the likes of Tig, Atsuko Okatsuka, Mae Martin, Hannah Gatsby - all of whom I can rely on to guide me safely into the funny side of these dark and sometimes disorienting times.
We've finally reached an exciting new era of comedy where disabled people who, 20 years ago were often the butt of a joke are now the ones crafting and delivering the jokes and better ones at that.
If you do a google search, you'll find a ton of really funny Deaf and Disabled comedians out there - a few I've been enjoying: D.J. Demers, Josh Blue, Courtney Gilmour, Rosie Jones, and Tina Friml.
Is anyone out there making you laugh? Shoot me an email and tell me who!
