New disability-owned business icon for Google Maps

Today's read

I get excited about logo art so I saved this post on my phone last week after finding it while scrolling on IG. The two creators are Kae Tran (@oddi.jessica) and Jess Oddi (@lettereleven) who were commissioned by Google to design a Disabled-owned business attribute for Google Maps.

Businesses can now identify as disabled-owned on Search and Google Maps — so it's easier for business owners to self-identify as a member of the disability community and for customers to support them.

I tried it out for Creative Connector and the downside is that it looks like it's not available yet in Canada nor does it appear to let you filter businesses by attribute. My hope is that it's early days and in time, the feature will expand and become more useful!
