The Red Rose Bleeds is a dark, immersive, Deaf-led solo performance about trauma, revenge, and power.
The piece centres a wealthy Deaf woman who survived rape and child sexual abuse, and who later becomes a serial killer targeting predators and abusers. Through ASL, physical theatre, poetic monologue, and visceral movement, the performance explores how violence shapes the body and how silence can turn into controlled, intentional fury. The show blends horror, dark comedy, and emotional intensity, confronting the audience with questions about justice, survival, and the cost of reclaiming power.
Designed to be accessible to both Deaf and hearing audiences, the work uses visual storytelling and embodied emotion as its core language.
