Listen to Dis' Community and Art Organization Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization that equips and enables disabled people to create and participate in art, for the betterment of their health, for recreation, and for the development of themselves as emerging and professional artists and art workers.
Listen to Dis' Community and Art serves people of all ages, from adolescents through elders, who live with a range of disabilities, including psychiatric disabilities; cognitive and learning disabilities; physical disabilities; addictions; environmental sensitivities; neurodivergence; chronic pain or disease; and physical, mental, and/or emotional disabilities from the adverse impacts of medication.
The organization’s main objective is to continue to create a sustainable, inclusive cross-ability arts organization and community in Saskatchewan to host practices, projects, programming, and performance.
LTD’ is committed to having the voice of people living with disability represented through art and programming that is imagined, created, and facilitated by people living with disability. They have worked since 2006 to create an organization that works for disabled artists and those interested in disability art & culture. They are now a registered charity.
