This concert series features a pianist and a singer. There are currently three versions of this show: French chanson, French-Canadian chanson, and Jazz. Occasionally, some classical music repertoire has been added. The three versions have been performed publicly and recorded. The French chanson repertoire has been performed internationally. A version for piano, organ and voice has been developed. The singer, Diane Kolin, sings in French and English. She performs sitting in her wheelchair.
About the Artist
Diane Kolin is a singer, a music educator, and a voice teacher. As a singer, she performs in various genres, from jazz to Baroque music and French chanson repertoire. She teaches voice to children and adults. She is a professional member of RAMPD (Recording Artists and Music Professional with Disabilities), and of the Recording Academy. She is the founder of ArtsAbly, a company offering diverse activities related to disability in the arts, including workshops, lectures, free resources, and a podcast highlighting the works of artists with disabilities.
