The countdown is officially on.
"For what?" you may be asking yourself.
For this year's Festival of Live Digital Art!
Happening in Kingston, ON and online from June 4th - 7th, FOLDA kicks off exactly one week from today with five unique productions that explore identity, inclusion, technology, and more!
Produced by Spiderwebshow Performance, this year marks the eighth iteration of the festival, whose theme for 2025 is "Seeds of Resistance and Solidarity."
What I love about FOLDA (aside from their wonderful access measures) is how they aim to be an incubator for artists and their work.
Pieces that are showcased can be in three different stages of development--the earliest creative spark, ones ready for public testing, or those that are ready for production--which gives artist at all different points in their careers the chance to gain invaluable feedback from audiences.
For the performances next week, there are so many incredible accessibility features, like ASL interpretation, relaxed environments, free admission for support workers, Blind and Low-Vision friendly performances.
You can read more about the access measures by checking out FOLDA's access guide in the header below.

FOLDA 2025 Livestreams
If you're unable to make the trip to Kingston, FOLDA's got you covered. Another incredible access feature for this festival is their hybrid events. The following pieces will have a livestream option for you to turn in from the comfort of your home:
Windrush - Friday, June 6th at 8pm
Reflections and Refractions - Saturday, June 7th at 2pm
MaryRobin Show - Saturday, June 7th at 6pm
Below, you can click on the video to check out their ASL vlog!
The FOLDA Access Team
FOLDA's Access Team is made up of professionals and volunteers, and is managed by Clayton Baraniuk, Annie Peace-Fast, and Jenylle Rufin. You can identify FOLDA staff and volunteers (at the in-person events) by the T-Shirts and Name Tags they will be wearing.
For additional access questions, please contact the team via email access@spiderwebshow.ca or by calling 1 (800) 613-1992.
