National accessArts Centre (NaAC) [Alberta/Online] | More info
In this online class, participants will dive into the exciting world of portraits! Games, exercises, and projects will guide artists through foundational drawing skills. Artists will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of mediums and mark-making techniques. The program will wrap up with participants using their new skills to create a final portrait in the style and medium of their choosing!
The National accessArts Centre (NaAC) was founded as the In-Definite Arts Society in 1975. They provide artistic training, creation, and exhibition/presentation opportunities for artists with developmental, physical, and acquired disabilities.
The NaAC supports more than 300 artists living with developmental and/or physical disabilities through on-site studio supports and workshops, and an even broader community of Canadian artists with disabilities through immersive programs delivered online.
Image Description: A table with black, charcoal portraits scattered across. One appears to be a woman, the other stacked on top of it is of an eye and another tucked underneath is more abstract. A case of charcoal paints in various shades of red and brown lays on top of the table as well.
