# Don't be a drag, just be a queen.

> Art provides everyone with the opportunity to express themselves. But too often, people with learning disabilities feel that the creative world is shut to them. BLINK Dance Theatre want to change that.

As a member of Drag Syndrome, a troupe of drag artists with Down’s syndrome, Francis Majekodunmi is no stranger to breaking boundaries and defying expectations about disability.

Alongside his work with his gang of drag queens, he co-founded BLINK Dance Theatre, a neurodiverse-led company dedicated to relentless inclusivity in the arts. BLINK's latest show, BEAT-FLYS, involves a collaboration with Beatbox Academy and aims to engage adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a sensory experience.

In this write-up, Fellow BLINK member Aisha Edwards highlights the importance of support and adaptability in their performances (such as visual timetables to help artists keep track of where they are at in the show), which allow her and others to feel comfortable on stage.
