**Today's read**

On the other side of the world, in a little Australian town called Warrnambool, a group of disabled artists from the [Find Your Voice Collective](https://www.findyourvoicecollective.com/home?ref=creativeconnector.art) are trying on an alter ego as part of a new photographic exhibition.

According to Merriam-Webster, an alter ego can be thought of as a clone or "second self". A professional alter ego might be a trusted aide who knows exactly what the boss wants done (um, I'll have one of those please). Alter ego can also refer to the second, hidden side of one's own self.

I highly recommend learning more about the collective through this whimsical photographic exhibition and article on ABC News.

And how do you wish the world would see you?” The result is a series of empowering portraits.![](https://www.abc.net.au/news-web/assets/favicon.svg)ABC NewsEmily Bissland![](https://live-production.wcms.abc-cdn.net.au/2021736da44b6fce4a8841e87347e143?impolicy=wcms_crop_resize&cropH=599&cropW=1065&xPos=0&yPos=126&width=862&height=485)](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-11-12/disability-preconceptions-tackled-in-alter-ego-photo-exhibition/103063380?ref=creativeconnector.art)
